Ferriday Man Killed In Traffic Accident

FERRIDAY, La. (AP) — A Ferriday man died over the weekend when he lost control of his pickup and hit a tree.

State police tell The Natchez Democrat (http://bit.ly/TAkiN4 ) 61-year-old Fred W. McClung Jr. was driving on U.S. Highway 84 near La. Highway 566 in Concordia Parish Saturday night when he drove off the right side of the roadway and collided with the tree.

Troopers say McClung was wearing a seat belt.

The crash remains under investigation.
