First Amendment and Our Computers – Protected or Not

Your speech is protected by the first amendment.  But, that doesn't necessarily apply to your computer.  That is what Obama Administration officials are saying.  That would mean that your search is protected speech, but your search results would not be.

What do you think?  Does the government have a right to regulate computers just simply because they are not people?
