RICHWOOD, La. (AP) — For the third month in a row, Richwood's board of aldermen had too few members present to meet.

The News-Star reports that the only item on Thursday's agenda would have authorized the mayor to fill out a questionnaire for the town's audit. That also was on the last two agendas.

Only two of the board's five members — Gerald Brown and Simeon Profit — attended Thursday's meeting. Mayor Alvin Jackson also was there.

Wysinger Cleveland says he missed three meetings because he's been ill since donating bone marrow to his son.

Margie Davis, also absent Thursday, says she had another engagement and doesn't think she's missed more meetings than other members.

The newspaper says Keys did not respond to a call.

The board's next regular meeting is Jan. 15.
