Former Church Point Bank President Pleads Guilty To Embezzlement
A former bank president pleads guilty to embezzling thousands of dollars in bank funds over a nearly six-year period. Steve Broussard was the president of Farmer's State Bank in Church Point. He resigned in 2004, after embezzling more than 100,000 from July of 1998 throught January of 2004. He was indicted in 2008. He faces a possible sentence of up to 30 years in prison.
