LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL News) - One man was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries after the truck he was driving hit the back of an AWS dump truck just after 8:00 a.m. Wednesday Morning. It happened in the 3800 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway near its intersection with Robley Drive.

A witness on the scene told KPEL News that emergency officials had to place a tourniquet on the man's arm to stop bleeding from a severe laceration he sustained in the crash.
