Former Saints Player Brandon Coleman Announces Retirement
A former member of the New Orleans Saints announced his retirement from the NFL this week.
Receiver Brandon Coleman, who played for the Saints for three seasons, from 2015-2018, announced his retirement on Monday.
After playing his college football at Rutgers, Coleman signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent following the 2014 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-6, 232-pound Coleman saw his first amount playing time in 2015, appearing in all 16 games, including 4 as a starter, catching 30 passes for 454 yards and two touchdowns.
A native of District Heights, Maryland, Coleman once again appeared in all 16 games in 2016, including 4 starts, compiling 26 receptions for 281 yards and 3 touchdowns.
In 2018, his final season with the Saints, Coleman appeared in all 16 games, including 6 as a starter, totaling 23 catches for 364 yards and three scores.
The Saints released Coleman last August after he failed a physical.
In parts of three NFL seasons, Coleman accumulated 79 catches for 1,099 yards and 8 touchdowns.
