Gas Prices Likely To Keep Going Up
More unrest in the Middle East will likely push gas prices upward locally. Civil unrest has broken out in Libya, which is an oil-rich nation. Louisiana Triple-A Fuel Analyst Don Redman says gas prices have been slowly rising to a statewide average of $3.03 for a gallon of regular gasoline. Redman says the statewide average for a gallon of regular gasoline is over three dollars for the first time since October 2009. He says the price at the pump should remain above $3.00 for the forseeable future. Redman expects gas prices will continue to rise.
