The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball season is right around the corner and it's a much anticipated 2020 campaign coming your way. As we inch closer we'll be getting to know a couple of the players of this year's team a little bit better thanks to Ragin' Cajuns Softball Twitter.
Today, we shine the spotlight on sophomore infielder Brittany Holland.
Here are a few additional nuggets you should know about Brittany on and off the field:
- Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll (2019)
- Sustained knee injuries the last two years and has played three games in her collegiate career
- Began collegiate career at Central Arizona College
- Recognized as an NJCAA first-team All-American (2017)
- She led Central Arizona with a .471 batting average, 15 home runs, and 81 RBI
- She was named to the first-team all-conference and all-region teams from the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference
- Born in West Monroe, LA
- Hometown is Gilbert, AZ
- Brittany has an older brother, Brad Jr., and a younger sister, Brooklyn
- Her father Brad played collegiate baseball for and coached with former Ragin' Cajuns head baseball coach Tony Robichaux at McNeese. In addition, he was a Division I head coach (at ULM) and is currently a scout in the Philadelphia Phillies organization
- She is a general studies major and aspires to be a dental hygienist
