Government To Sue North Carolina Over New Voter Law

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration says it will sue North Carolina for adopting strict voter laws the administration says make it tougher for minorities and students to vote.

The North Carolina law scales back the period for early voting and imposes stringent voter ID requirements.

At least five Southern states have adopted stricter voter ID and other election laws. Texas is also being sued.
