South Louisiana's sub tropical climate provides a very hospitable home for those pesky mosquitoes. We've had a lot of rain lately, so they'll be laying lots of eggs. Make sure to pour out any standing water where you live. Okay, so they got you! That itching can drive you crazy!! Here are 4 suggestions from lifehacker.com to relieve your discomfort.

Suggestion #1: Take Benadryl. It's effective against various allergies, and will relieve your discomfort.

Suggestion #2: Apply aloe. we know it's effective on burns. It also helps relieve the itch of insect bites. Aloe from the plant is preferable to Aloe gel.

Suggestion #3: Toothpaste. If you're camping & don't have Benadryl or aloe, apply toothpaste & let it dry.

Suggestion #4: Salt. Make a paste out of water & salt. apply & let it dry. By the way, it may sting a little at firs, especially if you've been scratching.

We all know the old saying, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."  Apply repellent, and eliminate as much standing water as you can. Avoid wearing dark colors. They attract them.
