Honduran Man Sentenced To Fifteen Months In Federal Prison
The U.S. Attorney's Office is reporting that a Honduran man who keeps coming back into the country illegally has now been sentenced to fifteen months in prison.
Ponce-Hernandez was arrested by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office last year on a variety of charges.
He was arrested on the following charges:
Domestic Abuse Battery
Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Resisting an Officer
Deputies went searching for Ponce-Hernandez after his wife reported the abuse.
The man was founding hiding in a closet in an abandoned apartment.
This was the fifth time Ponce-Hernandez is being removed from the country, and he has two prior criminal convictions.
