The left lane on I-10 Westbound is now open in Crowley, but congestion is still backed up all the way to Rayne, according to the latest update from LaDOTD.

According to LaDOTD, I-10 Westbound is still closed at this time. Motorists are being diverted to Louisiana Highway 1111 to Rice Capital Parkway before getting back on to I-10 W, the agency said.

Louisiana State Police have confirmed the closure of I-10 Westbound in Crowley, and have also provided an update on the scene.

According to the LSP update, "Crowley Police are on the scene, and towing services are on the way to clear the road blockage."

"Anticipate delays," LSP noted. "Drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes."

CROWLEY, La. (KPEL News) - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is reporting that I-10 Westbound is closed in Crowley, with a lot of heavy congestion along the interstate.

The cause of the congestion is an overturned tractor-trailer. According to both DOTD and Google Maps, congestion is backing up beyond two miles.

At this time, motorists are advised to use an alternate route. You can see the traffic congestion in the map below and plan an alternate route accordingly.
