I-10 to reopen soon; Ambassador Caffery Exit Ramp Closed until Further Notice

Lafayette HazMat team has successfully offloaded most of the product from the overturned 18-wheeler.

The overturned tank has been removed from the accident scene. In order to open traffic on I-10, the remaining product will be removed from the tank at another location.

I-10 should be reopening shortly. The Ambassador Caffery exit ramp will remain closed until further notice.

Motorists are encouraged to check with State Police, DOTD, or Lafayette Police for road opening and closures.
