Interstate 10 Lane Closures Happening in Lafayette & St. Martin Parishes Throughout Rest of Workweek
As part of the I-10 Widening Project, DOTD crews will be working in two main areas in Lafayette and St. Martin Parishes - at the Louisiana Avenue and Breaux Bridge exits. This is so workers can perform asphalt operations in these areas.
LOUISIANA AVENUE
The I-10 WESTBOUND exit ramp at Exit 104 (Louisiana Avenue) will be closed TONIGHT from 8 PM until 6 AM THURSDAY. Detour: I-10 Westbound to Exit 103A (US 167 South), US 167 South to Exit 1A (I-10 Eastbound entrance ramp), and I-10 Eastbound to Exit 104 (Louisiana Avenue).
The I-10 EASTBOUND entrance ramp at Exit 104 (Louisiana Avenue) will be closed on THURSDAY from 8 PM until 6 AM Friday. Detour: I-10 Westbound via Louisiana Avenue, I-10 Westbound to Exit 103A (US 167 South exit ramp), and US 167 South to Exit 1A (I-10 Eastbound).
BREAUX BRIDGE
The I-10 WESTBOUND entrance ramp at Exit 109 (LA 328 - Breaux Bridge) will be closed TONIGHT from 8 PM until 6 AM THURSDAY. Detour for westbound traffic: I-10 Eastbound via LA 328, continue on I-10 Eastbound to Exit 115 (LA 347 - Henderson), and LA 347 North to I-10 Westbound.
When the I-10 Widening Project is completed (scheduled for Summer 2021), a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge will be widened, pavement will be replaced within the existing lanes and one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from K-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge) will be constructed.
