A popular sports bar brand has closed its doors at a restaurant in Acadiana.

There was a buzz on social media on Monday, February 3, 2025, that the Walk-On's location in Broussard, Louisiana, closed permanently.

Listeners messaged that station, citing that people they know were let go and notified of the closure via an email. So, we decided to call the Wallk-On's location in Broussard and we were told that the restaurant is permanently closed.

I asked the person on the phone if she thought that they'd re-open it in the days or weeks ahead, and she said that she did not think that they would re-open the sports bar.

When speaking to the person who answered, we were not given a reason for the sudden closure of the restaurant.

Lastly, when I did a Google search for the hours of operation for the Walk-On's location in Broussard, here's the information that has been posted.

We hope that those who were working at Walk-On's in Broussard can find jobs after this sudden announcement of its closure.

Since we published this story, Wallk-On's Sports Bistreaux has released this statement on their social media page.
