Lafayette, Louisiana is Getting a New Chick-fil-A Location
Students at the University of Louisiana will soon have a new place to eat in the student union as a full-service Chick-fil-A is set to open later this year.
The popular fast-food eatery will be the latest addition to the food and beverage options on campus, according to Pat Mould, Director of Food and Beverage Operations at UL.
The university, in partnership with Sodexo, recently opened two Smoothie King locations along with a Starbucks.
Mould told The Acadiana Advocate that the changes come after years of preparation. He said that Sodexo surveyed students to see what they like and dislike and they consider that when deciding what options should be brought onto campus.
“We’re always looking for ways that we can up our ante when it comes to offering students, faculty, and staff better food options,” Mould said. “We’re trying to stack up with other universities within a state when it comes to offering different food, dining, and beverage options.”
This new location will make five Chick-fil-A restaurants in Lafayette while there are two other Acadiana locations in Opelousas and New Iberia.
According to an annual survey produced by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), Chick-fil-A has maintained its position as America's favorite restaurant for the ninth straight year in a row.
