How Does it Work?

This DIY project won't take you more than 2 minutes. In the video, @jmg8tor cuts a pool noodle to match the length of his windshield wiper. Then he cuts it down the middle and places it on the wiper blade to protect it from freezing to the glass overnight.

As many people point out in the comments we might not have to use this hack as often as our northern states. Regarding the age-old debate of whether to lift the wipers during freezing temperatures, opinions vary among experts. AAA's Car Doctor, John Paul, noted potential stress on the wiper arms' springs when lifted as well risking the blades still freezing if they become damp.
