Jindal Fundraising Event Comes Into Question

BATON ROUGE — The head of the Louisiana Democratic Party called on Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal to cancel a Tuesday campaign fundraiser that is being hosted by the CEO of a company handling Gulf oil spill claims for BP PLC. Party Chairman Buddy Leach called it a conflict for Jindal to take donations from someone paid by BP while the governor is pushing to hold BP accountable for what Jindal has criticized as unfair and inadequate claims processing. The governor's spokesman, Kyle Plotkin, said Jindal doesn't see any conflict with Mike Worley holding the fundraiser.
