John F. Kennedy Became A Hero August 2nd, 1943 [Video]
John F. Kennedy was one of my boyhood idols. He was one of the most popular, charismatic presidents in U.S. history. JFK was the 2nd youngest president in U.S. history, a war hero, Pulitzer Prize winning author, and idol to millions of young Americans, myself included.
By the time I was in junior High School, I'd read every book about him I could get my hands on. I have the movie , "PT 109" on DVD. While on night patrol, August 2nd, 1943, Kennedy's vessel was rammed, and split in two by the Japanese destroyer Amagiri. What ensued was a survival epic worthy of a feature film with an all- star cast.
