Earlier this year, Landry's Seafood House in Henderson shut down operations. The business, unfortunately, saw a decline due to construction on I-10 and the coronavirus outbreak.

At the time, Henderson Mayor Sherbin Collette told KATC that the owners of the restaurant were hoping to sell the popular restaurant to "another Cajun."

While we're not too sure if the owners of La Rumba Mexican Grill are "Cajun" or not, we do know that's who's moving into the building.

According to a Facebook post by Manuel Rodriguez, La Rumba Mexican Grill is coming soon to Henderson, Louisiana.

La Rumba has another Acadiana location, one on Hwy 93 in Scott. There are also locations in Jennings, Sulphur and Vinton. The restaurant is known for solid Mexican food like quesadillas, burritos, enchiladas, tacos, chimichangas, and from all accounts, a fabulous margarita.

As far as we know, no official opening date has been announced. Looking at the comments on the Facebook post, folks in that neck of the woods are excited about giving it a try.
