LA Secretary Of DOTD Explains Need For New Gas Tax Revenue
Governor John Bel Edwards' Transportation Chief, Secretary Shawn Wilson Ph.D., explained the way the state uses money from the gas tax and the need for a change in revenue. He talked about the number of bridges in the state and how much more expensive they are to maintain.
Wilson referenced a graph during the interview which explains how the budget is allocated at this time in regards to local, state and federal money.
