Lafayette Fire

A two story office building on St. John Street that had old furniture stored in it, went up in flames yesterday afternoon.  Fire Department spokesman Alton Trahan says there were no injuries, and it appears the fire got started on the second floor.  Investigators were not able to get up there for a more thorough investigation though, because it was not deemed safe.  They are still working to determine a cause of the fire.
