LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- Lafayette Police say 21-year-old Nikita Valdmire Eremine went into the bank on December 3rd and allegedly reached over the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from where the teller was counting money. Police believe Eremine is homeless and has possibly boarded a bus to Lake Charles.

LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed the Teche Federal Bank on Johnston Street Tuesday afternoon.

According to Lafayette Police Cpl. Paul Mouton, the suspect reached over the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the teller who was counting the money at the time. The suspect then fled the bank on foot, Mouton said.

The suspect did not appear to have a weapon, and no one was injured during the incident, Mouton said.

The suspect is described as a white male with medium build. He was wearing a black shirt.
