The Lafayette Parish School Board spent time this week reviewing a committee's recommendations for some renovation projects for L.J. Alleman and Youngsville middle schools.

The recommendations were made by architects who are creating designs for the new projects.

The money for the projects is coming from $30 million in bonds.  Other bond money will also be used for four other projects at area schools.

One of the projects that architects are working on is the expansion of Youngsville Middle school.  There will be major renovations at L.J. Alleman including the creation of a new cafeteria.

The committee has recommended Abell, Crozier, Davis Architects for the project at L.J. Alleman.  Beazley, Moliere will be the group working on the project at Youngsville Middle.

There were eleven firms that had submitted proposals to the board for the projects.
