LCA’s Fitzgerald West Receives Offer From State School

A local standout defensive player, who hasn't even begun his sophomore year yet, has received a scholarship offer from a state school.

Defensive tackle Fitzgerald West, from Lafayette Christian Academy, recently received an offer from McNeese.

The 6-foot-2, 325-pound West, who will begin begin his sophomore season in the fall, is scheduled to graduate in 2022.

Other schools that have reportedly offered West include Colorado and Tulane.

One of the more talented younger players in the entire country, West is likely to see many more offers come his way over the next couple of years.
