200K Pounds of Popular Egg Product Recalled in Louisiana
Louisiana's increasing egg prices have been a hot topic due to the avian influenza outbreak that has affected poultry farms nationwide. On average, a carton of eggs will cost you around $6 compared to $2.50 in February of last year.

One of Acadiana's favorite late-night spots, Waffle House, has even had to add a $0.50 surcharge per egg to compensate for unexpected supply issues.
For weeks, grocery stores struggled to keep eggs in stock for their customers, and now, stores and Louisiana egg lovers are taking another blow due to a massive recall.
