Louisiana Restaurants Offering Free Meals to Federal Employees
The Federal Government shutdown continues on, with no end in sight. Which is causing problems for tens of thousands of federal employees across the country. Including here in Louisiana.
One Louisiana restaurant chain is now offering free meals to those federal employees who are suffering from the shutdown. The chain of Ruby Slipper Cafes will be offering free meals to employees and their immediate families.
The meals will include an entree and a drink, and will be available until employees are able to get back to work.
The Ruby Slipper Cafe is a New Orleans stable, and have expanded into Baton Rouge, Alabama, Florida, and will soon be opening in Metairie. The company will be honoring the offer at all of their locations, and say that all the employees need to do is show their federal employee ID.
The government shutdown is touching positions from the FDA to TSA, which is hurting thousands of families across the state.
