This comes as a surprise to no one, but Louisiana Commissioner of Administration Jay Dardenne has announced that state offices will be closed statewide on Monday, February 15.

The closure, of course, is due to the sub-freezing temperatures and precipitation expected for Monday.

This office closure applies to all nonessential employees, including those authorized to work from home due to COVID-19.

Dardenne said that all agency heads are responsible for determining which of their essential personnel should remain on duty, report for duty or work from alternate sites as necessary.

Officials will continue to monitor the weather conditions throughout the state and make announcements when there are updates.
