Louisiana Tactical Police Officers Association Meeting In Lafayette

A little over a hundred officers are in Lafayette for some training.

The Louisiana Tactical Police Officers Association is holding a training event today and tomorrow.

Lafayette Police Department Corporal Bridgette Dugas says 120 officers are taking part in the training and competition.

The whole goal of this event's activities are to be able to discuss and develop important techniques and strategies.

Dugas says it's about education that's affordable for local departments.

This event features experts from across the country.
