Louisiana Teen Arrested After Boy’s Fatal Shooting
PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a 14-year-old boy accused of accidentally shooting another teenage boy to death in a Prairieville mobile home.
The Advocate reports that Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office deputies also arrested three adults who were in the trailer when 13-year-old Christian Crain was fatally shot Friday night.
The sheriff's office says Crain was shot in the head while the teens played with a revolver that had been stolen from a vehicle several days earlier.
The 14-year-old was booked into the St. James Parish Youth Detention Center on charges that include negligent homicide, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana.
The adults — 18-year-old Devin Himel, 44-year-old Judy Himel and 25-year-old Danielle Gaudin — were booked on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
