The LSU football team held its final practice in Baton Rouge today as they are set to leave for Dallas on New Year's Day. The Fighting Tigers will find out next week if leading rusher Stevan Ridley will be able to play. He's currently ineligible because of an academic violation. Coach Les Miles says if number 34 can't play, they'll be okay. Redshirt freshman Michael Ford would get a majority of the carries if Ridley is not allowed to play. The NCAA is expected to rule on the
matter January fourth. Ridley rushed for 1,042 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, but Miles says if he can't play, there shouldn't be a drop in production when it comes to the running game. Miles says the team held a scrimmage today to see which parts of the game plan might work against Texas A&M.
