Man Arrested in Iberia Parish After Gunshots Heard in Neighborhood

23-year-old Shawn Clavelle, Jr. faces charges of Terrorizing and Illegal Use of a Weapon after Iberia Parish Sheriff's deputies responded to gunshots being fired on Sunday morning.

According to the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the gunshots were heard in the 6000 block of East Old Spanish Trail, a residential area, and in the direction of traffic around 7:30 AM. Clavelle was arrested and placed into the Iberia Parish Jail.

According to Iberia Parish Ordinance 17-2, it is illegal to fire a gun in a residential area.
