Motorcyclist Killed In New Orleans Crash

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — New Orleans police are investigating a motorcycle accident that claimed the left of a 42-year-old man.

The accident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday in the 7500 block of Downman Road.

Officer Frank B.Robertson says the unidentified cyclist was northbound when he rear ended a Ford SUV.

Robertson says the cyclist lost control and struck a fire hydrant. The man was pronounced dead on the scene. The female driver of the SUV and her male passenger were not injured.
