Almost Louisiana’s Public Schools Get Failing Grades

Report cards have gone out for Louisiana's public schools.For nearly half of them, it doesn't look good.  44% of state's schools got a failing grade. Board of Elementary and Secondary Education member Chas Roemer says having so many schools grade so poorly is unacceptable. Last year the state abandoned a complicated numerical grading system
for the simple letter grades of A,B,C,D, and F.
