Not Guilty Please Entered In St. James Bar Fight

CONVENT, La. (AP) — Prosecutors say three people accused of crimes following a Nov. 28 fatal stabbing at a St. James Parish bar have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Prosecutors have accused Kyriene L. Vallery of stabbing Christian Allen in the back as a large fight ended at Club 7002 in Convent.

Allen died from his injuries at St. James Hospital in Lutcher.

A grand jury indicted Vallery on a charge of second-degree murder.

The Advocate reports Vallery entered his not guilty plea along with two others Monday.

Walter Scott III also pleaded not guilty to charge of being a principal to second-degree murder.

The third person, Lakquan Wiggins, pleaded not guilty to being an accessory after the fact to second-degree murder.
