LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — A Duson man has been indicted on a charge in the November killing of his girlfriend.

Local media outlets report a grand jury returned a second-degree murder indictment on Wednesday against 27-year-old Miles Guidry in the death of 26-year-old Claire Walley.

Police said Walley was found dead Nov. 29 in a home the couple shared along with their infant son.

Guidry has remained in the Lafayette Parish jail on bail since Dec. 16, when he was extradited from Colorado to Lafayette.

Authorities say police officers in Glendale, Colorado found Guidry asleep in his vehicle and discovered he was wanted in Walley's death. He had been missing since Walley's killing.

Details surrounding Walley's death, including the cause, haven't been released pending the ongoing criminal investigation.
