A Deridder man has been brought back to Opelousas as local authorities believe he played a key role in the armed robbery and death of a local man.

KPEL News reported 26-year-old Corey "CJ" Rosette was found dead in a home on Nicole Lane on February 14th after OPD officers did a welfare check at the request of family members who had not seen him since Friday, February 11th. Investigators say he was shot to death.

Within the week, police arrested 18-year-old Jaleel Malik Durisseau on a charge of First Degree Murder, Armed Robbery, and Illegal Carrying of a Weapon.

The second arrest took some time but Opelousas PD believe they have another suspect - 19-year-old Lenny Bruce. He was taken into custody in Leesville and transported back to Opelousas to face the same charges: Armed Robbery, 1St Degree Murder, and Illegal carrying of a firearm.
