Pastor Of First Baptist Has Last Message

To the many members of the First Baptist Church, this Sunday will likely be a memorable day.

Pastor Steve Horn will be delivering his last message as pastor of that church this Sunday.

Horn has been the Pastor of the church for church for 14 years, but he is leaving to take on a new position.

The Louisiana Baptist Convention has a new Executive Director, and that Director is Steve Horn.

This Sunday at 10:45 a.m. Pastor Horn will be delivering his final message to the members of his church.

The church then has planned some fellowship time for that evening starting at 5 p.m. and wrapping up at 7 p.m.

So what will pastor Steve be doing?

As head of the Louisiana Baptist Convention, Horn will be overseeing an association with some 600,000 members who are part of some 1.600 church.

He will be doing the following:

• He will help with equipping churches
• He will encourage pastors
• He will assist in evangelistic efforts through the state of Louisiana
