The New Orleans Pelicans and President of Basketball Operations David Griffin has made another hire to the front office by bringing in former WNBA player Swin Cash. She will assume the role of Vice President of Basketball Operations and team development sources say.

Cash, 39, was a 15 year WNBA veteran, three-time champion, and four-time All-Star. In addition, she was apart of two National Championship teams while playing collegiately at UCONN in 2000 and 2002.

Cash also has some front office experience, in 2017, the New York Liberty appointed her director of franchise development. She also has appeared as an analyst on various television programs talking about basketball, the most notably on NBA TV last season with David Griffin.

This is the latest progressive hire from Griffin as he adds Cash to a team of Trajan Langdon (General Manager) from the Brooklyn Nets and Aaron Nelson who led the Phoenix Suns' highly thought of training staff for two decades.
