Perry Wins Senate Seat

The margin was small, but it was enough for State Represenative Jonathon Perry to secure a seat in the upper chamber of the Louisiana Legislature.  Perry garnered 51 point 75 percent of the vote over Police Juror Nathan Granger to win the State Senate District 26 seat.   The Republican Party will hold a majority in the state senate for the first time since Reconstruction.
