Rayne Man Gets Ten Years In Prison For Soliciting Minor in Sex Sting

An area man has been sentenced to ten years in prison for soliciting explicit images from a teenage girl.  The teenage girl ended up being an undercover officer.

US Attorney Stephanie Finley says Allen Joseph Desormeaux of Rayne engaged the officer in sexually explicit chats, asking for the pictures and eventually discussing meeting the fictitious girl for sex.

Authorities say Desormeaux admitted he wasn't comfortable meeting what he thought was a teenage girl. He admitted to then asking the girl to perform sexual acts through a web camera.

He also faces 5 years of probation.
