Suspect Being Sought In Regions Bank Robbery

Corporal Paul Mouton with Lafayette Police says Johnston Street is reopened and all area businesses have been allowed to resume operation, this after the Regions Bank was robbed earlier today with the suspect saying there was a device in the bag he left behind. Mouton says the suspect is a white male, 5'5" with a medium build, in his 50's or 60's and was wearing a black cap. He says State Police are assisting them in their search for the robber. Haz Mat teams with the Lafayette Fire Department, the ATF, and the FBI deemed the suspicious package safe just before 3 PM.
