Retailers Staying Open For Late Shoppers

If you've waited this late to get your Christmas shopping done, fear not. Retail analyst Jim Rutledge says Louisiana retail merchants have anticipated the last-minute shopper and are well-stocked with bargains for them. Rutledge says malls and smaller shops have kept themsleves stocked with popular gift ideas, to be prepared for last-minute shoppers; mostly men. He says heavy holiday shopping has been a real shot in the arm for local economies in general. Rutledge suggests that, in the Spirit of Christmas, last-minute shoppers --while they're out--check to see if they can assist the sick, elderly or shut-in with their holiday gift buying.
