Former Louisiana Governor and presidential candidate Buddy Roemer appeared last night on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report." Many people watched and approvingly cheered Roemer's reasons for wanting to be the next President. Roemer told Colbert he successfully ran for governor and Congress without accepting Political Action Committee contributions, and that's what he intends to do in his campaign for President. Roemer explained to Colbert that he's only going to accept $100 per voter.

Regarding the debt ceiling, Roemer told Colbert he believes the President should tell the world that the United States intends to fulfill it's financial obligations.
