Former Louisiana Governors Edwin W. Edwards and Buddy Roemer will be among the delegates expected to attend this weekend's reunion of dignitaries at the 1973 Louisiana Constitutional Convention Reunion. The event is being held at the National World War II Museum.

The Convention for the state's last major rewrite of its current governing document began in 1973 during Edwards' first term as governor. The finished product drawn up by just over 100 delegates was ratified by a vote of the people on April 20, 1974 and went into effect in 1975.

The chaiman of what is commonly referred to as "CC73," former House Speaker E.L. "Bubba" Henry, is also expected to be in at this weekend's reunion, along with several other dignitaries such as Senate President John Alario.
