In preparation for his run for President, former Governor Buddy Roemer has moved to New Hampshire. Mr. Roemer says the move is just temporary, so he can make optimal use of his campaign time--getting to know the people of New Hampshire. Mr. Roemer says he'll have to spend a great deal of time making himself known to New Hampshire voters before the February 14th presidential primary.

The South Carolina primary is scheduled for January 21st, and the Iowa caucuses are February 6th. Roemer says living in the key primary state makes good strategic sense.

Roemer is expected to make an official candidacy announcement Thursday. In the meantime, he says he's found a plain apartment to call home for the next few months. He says the move to the Granite State could pay big dividends to his campaign.
