The New Orleans Saints waived one of their selections from the 2016 NFL Draft on Wednesday.

The Saints needed to make a move, after signing veteran running back Shane Vereen to a free agent deal.

Lasco was placed on inured reserve last season, after suffering a bulging disk, following a violent collision during a kick return on November 12 against the Buffalo Bills.

A native of The Woodlands, Texas, Lasco played his college football at California, before being selected by the Saints in the seventh-round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

The 25-year old Lasco was in the second year of his four-year, $2.415 million contract when the Saints waived him coming out of the preseason last year, prior to later signing him to their practice squad.

The Saints promoted Lasco to their active roster in October, one month before his injury.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Lasco appeared in 10 career games for the Saints from 2016-2017, rushingd 11 times for 32 yards, while also catching two passes for 11 yards, with all those stats coming in 2016.
