BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — All 82 branches of the state Office of Motor Vehicles will be selling the special New Orleans Saints Super Bowl license plates by Dec. 8.

The first batch of tags went on sale at 29 of the larger agency offices in metropolitan areas this week. Agency spokeswoman Michelle Rayburn told The Times-Picayune that the locations will expand statewide next week.

Saints officials say plates 2 through 99 will be sold through a special fundraising auction to benefit Operation Homefront-Louisiana, a group that provides emergency financial assistance and other aid to families of troops and wounded service personnel.

Auction information will be available at www.nflauction.nfl.com starting Monday.
