Shreveport Film Studio To Open In Feb.

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — The head of a new film studio being built in Shreveport says the studio is on track for a grand opening in February.

The Nu Image/Millennium Films is a 53,000-square-foot facility in the city's Ledbetter Heights neighborhood.

Diego Martinez, head of Millennium's Shreveport operations, told the Times of Shreveport that the soundstages and office space should be ready by late January and that a grand opening has been scheduled for February.

Construction on the $10 million project started in December 2009. Shreveport lured Nu Image/Millennium with more than $2 million in land acquisition, site preparation, drainage work and improved sewer lines.
