State Fire Marshals Investigate Holiday Fires

Several fires, including a pair of fatal blazes over the holiday weekend have caught the attention of the state fire marshal. The Christmas holiday weekend was very busy for firefighters statewide, including at least two fatal fires. State Fire marshal Butch Browning says at least one fire has resulted in arrests. Another fire took the life of an elderly man. Browning says the fatal fire in Slidell was caused by a more familiar source. A fire, which destroyed a north Louisiana warehouse, is under investigation. Browning says the fire may have been intentional.
